If you’ve followed Tony Bellew over the years you’ll know how enjoyably outspoken he is to listen to but as his career unfolded, he backed it up by beating the odds time and time again. Ahead of what’s expected to be the final fight of his career on Saturday, his blunt and frank premonitions before the fight are still as raw and untapped as ever.
Bellew looked in good condition at the open workouts ahead of his challenge against cruiserweight head honcho Usyk on Saturday night.
A real confidence and calmness seems to exude around him coming into Saturday night.
Speaking at the open workouts ahead of the fight Bellew said:
“I look at him and the shape he’s in and the muscles and the six-pack. Once again I look at me like Mr.Soft. I’m just willing to give it a go, give it everything I’ve got. I genuinely believe I’m going to break his heart and find a way (to win).”
On how he sees the fight going, Bellew added:
“I’d be shocked if it was just one punch and the fight is over. I think it will be an accumulation. I think it will be a number of things.”
He concluded:
“Lets just see if the fat Scouser can get it done again.”
Not long to go now until we find out, a great fight in store for a number of reasons.
Bellew you’d have to think needs to get off to a very quick start right from the first bell.
