Gennady Golovkin trainer Abel Sanchez has given his take on what the Manny Pacquiao vs Adrien Broner fight means for both guys at this stage of their careers.
Sanchez has become one of the leading trainers in the sport over the years since his success with former middleweight number one Gennady Golovkin.
Speaking to Villainfy Media, Abel Sanchez said:
“I think that’s a good fight. I like that fight. I think Manny wins but it’s a good fight. A good fight for both guys because both guys are coming off a little tarnish. Adrien because of all the stupidity that he does and Manny because he’s coming to the end of his career. I think the guy that wins this fight resurrects his career and goes onto bigger and better things.”
The fight itself is expected to be announced shortly for January 19th in Las Vegas.
Broner has already began training for the fight and is understood to be taking his career deadly serious again.
Filipino Pacquiao for his part is just getting back home from a recent trip to the UK and could be in the US very soon at a press conference to formally announce the Adrien Broner fight.
