Tyson Fury’s 19-year-old brother Tommy Fury is set to make his pro debut on December 22nd and has impressed boxing fans already after initial footage of him training has been released.
The Fury’s continue to churn out fighters between Tyson, Hughie and now Tommy.
Although not a heavyweight, at 19 years old, Tommy Fury will make his initial debut at light-heavyweight.
But being so young for a heavyweight, who’s to say he might not end up at heavyweight before his career is over.
Tommy Fury comes across as his own man and doesn’t seem concerned with the pressure of being brothers with such a famous and successful fighter like Tyson.
He appears to be keeping his feet planted well and truly on the ground which is also a good sign.
Moreover, he’s got Ricky Hatton in his corner as his trainer too, so he looks like he has everything set up for him to develop into a professional fighter over the coming years if he wants to.
This pad work footage from IFL shows that despite the lack of amateur experience, his coordination, sense of distance and footwork look to be very sharp already for a novice pro:
Judging by that, perhaps another Fury champion in the making. Time will tell.
He’ll make his professional debut on December 22nd on the Josh Warrington vs Carl Frampton undercard at the Manchester Arena.
