December 1st is quickly approaching as fight fans eagerly count down the days to one of the most fascinating heavyweight title fights in years.
Deontay Wilder vs Tyson Fury for the WBC heavyweight championship of the world promises to be special in LA come December 1st.
An American vs a Brit, perhaps the biggest heavyweight title fight of that kind since Lennox Lewis vs Mike Tyson.
On that occasion the Brit was successful but Wilder comes into the fight on December 1st as slight favorite.
Fury won’t care about odds from bookmakers however.
The likely will come down a bit anyway after today’s bit of news.
It has now been officially confirmed that Fury will have Hall of Fame trainer Freddie Roach in his corner on fight night in what is thought to be as an assistant role to Fury’s main trainer Ben Davison.
Roach has been in some of the biggest fights in boxing history and his guidance, advice and words of wisdom will only help Fury.
Fury had been training in Abel Sanchez’ gym in Big Bear, California up until recently ul when made the move to then go to Freddie Roach’s Wild Card gym in Hollywood.
The two have obviously hit it off straight away.
