Floyd ‘Money’ Mayweather turned 41 not long ago but has decided to return to the gym as new footage shows him working on some fitness and boxing skills.
I think it’s safe to say we’ll see Mayweather back next year in some shape or form.
He wouldn’t still be keeping himself linked to boxing and combat sports like he has in recent times if he wasn’t planning something.
That said, he’s had a few serious PR blunders this year with announcements that he didn’t live up to.
So the credibility of his next announcement might not carry much weight in fairness.
This year he said he’d box Pacquiao in December, fight UFC champion Khabib and also have a fight against a kick boxer in Japan.
None came to fruition in reality.
On the balance of probabilities, the Manny Pacquiao rematch is the most likely for next year at some point but you’d have to think Floyd would want to take a warm up fight before it in the meantime.
