De La Hoya Makes Big Claim About A Boxing Comeback - Andre Ward Gives Him An Opponent Idea

Oscar De La Hoya has sensationally claimed that with three months training he could return to the boxing ring and take on the best at his weight. While he’s being quickly slammed by boxing fans online, one former top fighter has suggested a name that he might be able to fight.

Oscar De La Hoya, Floyd Mayweather and perhaps Manny Pacquiao to an extent represent the end of a certain era in pay per view boxing that we are seeing at the moment.

De La Hoya was the head honcho of US pay per view boxing for many years before losing a split decision to Floyd and after that — Pacquiao and Mayweather dominated the boxing news headlines for years thereafter.

All good things come to an end as they say.

However, Oscar De La Hoya is taking some flack for suggesting that he could get back in the ring and fight the best with just 3 months training:

Former pound for pound number one has stepped in and suggest that a Floyd Mayweather rematch would be something to consider:

With Mayweather looking to rematch Pacquiao at some point next year you’d have to wonder, why wouldn’t he just do both rematches with old foes De La Hoya and Pacquiao all together and be done with it?
