Ultimately this will come as disappointing news to anyone who wants to see one of the world’s best fighters in Terence Crawford take on the other best fighters in his weight class.
Recently the WBO champion and his close rival and IBF welterweight champion Errol Spence were on video saying they both want the fight.
Crawford’s old promoter Bob Arum standing behind them at the time, unsure of what to make of the situation.
The bottom line is Arum hates the fact that Spence is signed with his rival Al Haymon and has even started calling Haymon ‘Mr.Cancer’ in recent interviews.
If the shoe was on the other foot — you’d probably hear about Haymon getting sued by Arum but likely Haymon doesn’t even care what Arum says.
He’s busy making fights like Errol Spence vs Mikey Garcia. Fights that fans actually want to see.
I have the utmost respect for what legendary promoter Bob Arum has done in the sport but this is down right garbage today:
BREAKING: I’ve been informed that Terence Crawford will fight Luis Collazo next. Deal should be done by next week. The targeted date is March 23rd. Madison Square Garden is the probable site, but the date & site have to be finalized. My story: https://t.co/bjgtXMvukN

My brain doesn’t know what to do with this information.
