Just over one week to go now until the biggest heavyweight fight of the year when WBC champion Deontay Wilder and Lineal champion Tyson Fury collide in LA.
The pair will do battle at the Staples Centre in one of the most intriguing heavyweight title fights between an American and a Brit since Mike Tyson vs Lennox Lewis.
Everyone has an opinion on how it will go and ahead of the fight three of boxing’s big names told BT Sport who they think is going to win.
Lennox Lewis
“Fury always turns up so I’m not going to short change him on this one, so I believe he should be ready for Deontay.”
David Haye
“Wilder has had pretty much a perfect three years. With Tyson Fury unfortunately he hasn’t. If I was a betting man I’d have to go with Deontay Wilder.”
Ricky Hatton
“Tyson has been hit. I think if this fella (Wilder) hits you with a straight right hand you won’t get up. But will he get it in? If you asked me where my last pound was going — I’d say Tyson Fury.”
The fight will be on Showtime pay per view in the US and on BT Sport pay per view in the UK and Ireland.
