We are just one week away now from the WBC heavyweight title fight between champion Deontay Wilder and challenger Tyson Fury — and the latter is brimming with confidence.
Indeed, so is the champion.
Both men have plenty of reason to be confident being undefeated but someone’s ‘0’ will be gone this day next week.
Fury has done his homework on Wilder and is known to be a student of the game behind the scenes — so it will be interesting to see how he chooses to box the big hitting American.
Speaking to Gareth Davies on his YouTube channel, Fury commented on Wilder’s style:
“Deontay Wilder’s style what can I say about it? It’s very unusual but very conventional as well. A lot of people make it out as wild and all this but he only throws those big bombs when he knows people are going. So he’s very calm until he gets a man going and then he’ll let go. But I’ve got something up my sleeve. Like Max Schmeling saw something in Joe Louis but he didn’t tell anybody about it, I see something in Deontay Wilder. There’s a chink in the armour.”
The fight will be on BT Sport pay per view for those in the UK and Ireland and live on Showtime pay per view in the US.
