This weekend Chris Eubank Jr’s younger cousin continued his assault on the welterweight division with one of the most sickening one punch knockouts recorded in some time. Fans have taken issue not with the knockout but with what happened afterwards.
Knockouts are a part of professional boxing at the end of the day.
It’s the hurt business. Fighters fight for money.
But after this weekend’s knockout many boxing fans feel that the violent nature of the ending didn’t warrant the celebrations that ensued afterwards:

Piss poor that he’s jumping on ropes and not checking he’s ok. Can’t buy class

Typical class less Eubank not to see if the opposition was ok.

And how dare the audience cheer and applaud at such violence! Disgraceful

Big knock out but could’ve checked the guys healthy and OK 1st though, maybe it’s just adrenaline of the win but in future check your opponents OK 1st, otherwise great knock out”?
