We’re mid way through fight week ahead of this Saturday’s WBC heavyweight title fight in LA and everyone in the boxing world is debating who will win. Perhaps none better placed to do so then a former heavyweight champion of the world himself – Lennox Lewis.
Lennox Lewis proved himself as the best heavyweight of his era beating every man he ever faced (in that he avenged the losses he did have in rematches) and took out the two considered rivals of the time – Evander Holyfield and Mike Tyson.
When Lewis gives an opinion on a big heavyweight title fight, people tend to listen.
Speaking to The Daily Mail, Lewis said of Wilder vs Fury this weekend:
“Deontay Wilder if it ends early, Tyson Fury if it goes the distance.”
Indeed, that seems to be the main opinion at the moment. But Tyson Fury in an interview with Kugan Cassius of IFL TV mentioned this week he sees it completely the opposite way around.
He said that it will either be him by KO or Wilder on points.
Realistically when it comes to the heavyweight division anything can happen. The amount of force these guys punch with is hard to put into words.
One wrong move by either Wilder or Fury and it could be curtains.
