Former pound for pound number one turned commentator Roy Jones Jr knows a thing or two about big pay per view fights.
Speaking ahead of Manny Pacquiao vs Adrien Broner on January 19th in Las Vegas — Jones thinks the fight comes down to who wants it more.
Speaking to Villainfy Media, Roy Jones Jr said:
“It should be a good fight depending on which Broner comes. If Broner comes to win he could make it a very tough night for Pacquiao. But if Pacquiao comes expecting Broner coming to win he can make it a tough fight. Both of them are very good fighters capable of beating anyone on any given night so it all depends who comes motivated. I’m thinking Broner is going to come (extra) motivated because of what he’s been through.”
Jones had previously been a commentator for HBO boxing but following their departure from the sport this weekend it is unclear where his next punditry role in boxing will be.
One thing is for sure though, he’s one of the best commentators in the game for anyone who’s listened to him over the years so it shouldn’t be too long before we hear him back on our screens again.
