The tide of public perception has well and truly turned against Anthony Joshua since WBC heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder and lineal champion Tyson Fury fought to a draw a little over a week ago.
Joshua seems to have gone from being talked about as the best heavyweight in the world to being largely given the cold shoulder and marginalized with fans now more interested in a Wilder vs Fury rematch more than anything else.
It’s pretty harsh too, when you consider that Joshua has fought top competition in his relatively short pro career so far on his way to becoming world champion.
But, as the old saying goes, you’re only as good as your last fight.
Fury and Wilder were the ones who stepped up and fought and now Joshua is taking some serious heat — particularly on today’s Joe Rogan podcast (one of the world’s biggest media platforms):
Joshua still has yet to confirm an opponent for his next fight on April 13th at Wembley stadium.
The front runner at this time appears to be the winner of Dillian Whyte vs Dereck Chisora on December 22nd but anything can happen just yet.
