Frank Warren Reveals Coincidental Plan For Anthony Joshua April 13th Wembley Date

Heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua as things stand has his next fight lined up and booked at Wembley stadium in London for April 13th.

He wanted the fight to be against WBC champion Deontay Wilder but that doesn’t look like a realistic prospect now given the fact the Wilder vs Tyson Fury rematch looks likely next up.

As fate would have it, promoter of Fury — Frank Warren has revealed to Kugan Cassius of IFL TV that they are looking to put the rematch on the exact same night as Joshua’s next fight:

“What is it on the 13th? Coincidently the date we are looking for to do the Fury and Wilder fight.”

Interesting stuff.

This coming December 22nd will also see Warren and his UK rival promoter Eddie Hearn (who promoters Joshua) go up against one another as Hearn promotes Dillian Whyte vs Dereck Chisora in London while Warren promotes Josh Warrington vs Carl Frampton in Manchester on the very same night.
