Canelo Reveals Fielding Fight Week Physique Now Up at 168lbs

Canelo Alvarez will fight at the super-middleweight limit this weekend when he takes on Rocky Fielding from the UK at Madison Square Garden in New York.

It wasn’t long ago that Canelo moved from super-welterweight up to middleweight to fight Gennady Golovkin.

Some have suggested that such a quick move now up to super-middleweight (168lbs) could be a bit too much too soon.

The start of fight week for Canelo vs Fielding begins shortly with the grand arrivals in New York and ahead of that — Canelo has posted the following to kick off fight week:

Clearly he has trained hard for the fight and given Fielding the appropriate respect that he deserves.

A slip up against Fielding would be disastrous for Canelo at this point.

Particularly with a possible huge trilogy fight on the line with Gennady Golovkin in 2019.
