Freddie Roach, the Hall of Fame boxing trainer and generally loved and cherished member of the world boxing community — has upset the apple cart in a rare break from form.
Recently Freddie was brought in as an adviser and cut man for Tyson Fury by head trainer Ben Davison in preparation for and on fight night against WBC heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder.
The fight subsequently was scored a draw.
This interview with Roach has caused a lot of controversy where he surprisingly criticizes the young Davison despite the trainer getting a lot of praise for his work with Fury not just for the Wilder fight, but also the fact he put his own life on hold for over a year to help Fury lose an incredible amount of weight and get back in the boxing ring in the first place:

The whole thing has left a bit of a bad taste in the mouth with boxing fans, it would appear for the most part.
