Manny Pacquiao is clearly putting in the hard graft at the moment as the holiday period approaches but more importantly for him, as his next big fight approaches on January 19th.
A pay per view showdown with Adrien Broner at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas awaits — as Pacquiao warned Broner only a few weeks ago on Thanks Giving to lay off the Turkey and lose some weight.
Losing weight or making it rather won’t be a problem for Pacquiao based on this:
While not the Pacquiao of old, granted, he still has more than enough hand speed, experience and skill to give most welterweights in the world more than they bargained for at the top level of the sport.
Putting him in with Adrien Broner at this stage of his career gives PacMan a decent barometer of how he still matches up against the young guns of the sport moving forward.
In recent months a rematch with Floyd Mayweather was mentioned for next year but it isn’t a guaranteed thing just yet by all accounts.
First thing is first though, Pacquiao needs to look damn impressive on January 19th to continue any possible talks of a Floyd Mayweather rematch next year.
