The Moment Canelo Alvarez and Danny Jacobs Met In The Ring At Madison Square Garden

After watching this, if one were a betting man, you’d have to favor Danny Jacobs being Canelo Alvarez’ next opponent in 2019 after his latest win this weekend in New York.

Alvarez stopped Rocky Fielding inside three rounds at MSG last night in a fight that took place at super-middleweight (168lbs).

It is widely thought Canelo will move back down to his natural weight class of middleweight next up however to defend the belts he won against Gennady Golovkin earlier this year.

Although a third fight with Golovkin remains a highly strong possibility next year, this moment after Canelo’s win last night suggests motions are being put in place to promote a unification fight with Danny Jacobs next up:

A very intriguing fight to be fair as well.

Who’s to say Canelo won’t box both Jacobs and Golovkin next year.
