The scene looks set more and more that a showdown between top American fighters Gervonta Davis and Tevin Farmer will take place in 2019.
Efforts have been made by Farmer’s promoter to make the fight that have proved unsuccessful thus far but as we all know, anything can happen in boxing and fan power is at an all time high in terms of influencing fights getting made on social media.
And these two chaps have made no secret that they are not fond of one another on social media.
The tensions between the two and bitter exchange of words continued after Farmer’s recent win this past weekend in Madison Square Garden — a unanimous points decision over Francisco Fonseca.
Both men have upped the ante on Twitter in a beef that is clearly leading to an inevitable fight in the ring:
Farmer has also been linked with a fight against Jono Carroll in the new year while Davis has been linked with big name fights against the likes of Lomachenko and Abner Mares.
While a fight between Farmer and Davis might be next up — expect it at some point in 2019.
