Danny Jacobs, the middleweight world champion could be in line to take on boxing star Canelo Alvarez next up.
But in the meantime he’s remaining patient to see who it is Alvarez is going to chose next up between him, Callum Smith or possibly a third fight with Gennady Golovkin.
Speaking to the folks at Fight Hub Jacobs recently sat down to give his opinion on the upcoming pay per view fight between Manny Pacquiao and Adrien Broner next month in Las Vegas.
Speaking on the fight he said:
“You know what right now I think it’s about which Pacquiao will show up and which Broner will show up. Ultimately that’s what it will come down to. If both show up with 100% gas tank on full just ready to go and get a fight — then I can’t pick a winner.”
He continued:
“But if we see the Adrien Broner we have seen in the past turn up where he doesn’t punch enough then we might see Pacquiao outpoint him. Or if we see Pacquiao get old over night then we’ll see Adrien take advantage of him.”
The fight takes place at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas on January 19th.
