One of the world’s leading boxing promoters Eddie Hearn recently mentioned in an interview that the upcoming Manny Pacquiao vs Adrien Broner showdown had little interest for him as a spectacle.
The fight will be the first pay per view fight of four-weight world champion Broner’s career on January 19th when he fights eight-weight world champion Manny Pacquiao.
On paper at least, it appears to be a 50-50 fight with Broner now looking like he’s got the eye of the tiger back so to speak and once again taking his boxing career seriously.
Speaking on Hearn’s comments, Broner said to EsNews:
“I bet he wouldn’t be if he was promoting it — then he’d have all the damn interest in watching.”
The fight between Broner and Pacquiao takes place at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas on January 19th.
