Heavyweight boxers Dereck Chisora and Dillian Whyte will do battle for a second time this Saturday night in what promises to be one of the most violent heavyweight fights of the year.
A lot has changed and happened for both guys since they fought a couple of years ago.
Chisora since linking up with old nemesis David Haye as his manager and adviser has gotten himself in the shape of his life.
Whyte for his part has made immense physical improvements himself but more than anything, his technical advancements under trainer Mark Tibbs in that time have been the standout improvements to date in many ways.
Going into the fight Chisora said today that he doesn’t want to leave it go to points and through a dagger at promoter of Whyte — Eddie Hearn:
“I don’t want the fight to go on points. 100 per cent because if the fight goes on points I know Eddie (Hearn) is going to pay the judges so I can’t afford it. I’m going to knock this sucker out.”
A very interesting press conference today between two guys who have no problem speaking about any subject but beneath it all — are pure fighters.
Through and through.
Expect all hell to break loose in the ring on Saturday night once again at the O2 Arena in London.
The fight will also be available on Showtime for fans in the US this weekend.
