While you might be unwrapping presents, getting ready to tuck into some turkey ans spend time with family, professional boxers around the world will be spending the day business as usual.
The life of a professional fighter can be a very lonely one indeed.
Missed birthdays, missed holidays, it’s part of the game when you want to be the best at anything really.
But that said, if you love what you do and are passionate about it — you’ll never work a day in your life as the old saying goes.
Manny Pacquiao has found this love back for boxing.
Speaking to EsNews, his trainer Buboy Fernandez said he will spend his day today sparring in the gym:
“(Camp is going) very good. Great. (He’s in) 100% condition. Yeah I see the moves today. We see tomorrow in sparring.”
On it being Christmas day:
“We don’t care. Yeah that’s right (it’s a big fight). We need to show the people that Manny Pacquiao is still hungry to fight.”
A not surprising statement to anyone who knows any professional fighters out there.
Pacquiao and Broner will throw down on January 19th at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.
