Manny Pacquiao has used renowned strength and conditioning coach Justin Fortune for a while now and to good effect.
Fortune seems like a man who doesn’t mess around and someone who is down to Earth like Buboy and Freddie Roach in the corner of Pacquiao.
Particularly at this late stage of his career Pacquiao not only needs to train hard but more than anything train smart.
Getting the right nutrition and rest and playing to his strengths will be key from here on our in the Pacquiao career.
Speaking to Villainfy Media, Fortune gave an update on Pacquiao’s training camp since returning to LA and reuniting with Freddie Roach:
“He’s good just that little bit of jet lag yesterday but he surprisingly did 8 rounds of sparring. It was good sparring. George Kambosas and Freddie has another amateur guy.”
He added:
“Good sparring. Great rounds. He sort of put his foot down and was ready to go. He was in great shape. Manny Pacquiao’s being going 8 rounds for 18 years. He knows how to do it, his body does it.”
Pacquiao vs Broner takes place on January 19th at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA.
