Gervonta Davis announced his own fight next up formally yesterday at a mid holiday press conference.

The talented Davis takes on Abner Mares in the new year on February 9th at the Stub Hub Center in Carson, California.

A good test for Davis after not the best of years this year where he aired very public grievances with that head man at his promotional company — Floyd Mayweather.

Another fighter managed and under the same umbrella as Davis of the Premier Boxing Champions, Adrien Broner takes on Manny Pacquiao on January 19th and Davis told EsNews what he believes Pacquiao needs to do to win the bout:

Overall two decent fights to look forward to in 2019.
