Amir Khan vs Terence Crawford Venue and Early Undercard Confirmed

The two boxers are set to have a formal press conference tomorrow in London to announce all details but as it tends to happen in boxing — details have been leaked a little ahead of time.

The venue according to Talk Sport will be none other than Madison Square Garden in New York.

The undercard will also feature one of the standout boxing prospects of 2018 — Teofimo Lopez.

While the date has not been made official just yet, most believe it will be April 20th and that the fight will be shown on ESPN in the US.

Quite possibly an ESPN boxing pay per view too but that hasn’t been established just yet.

It is not known as of yet if the fight will be pay per view in the UK due to ongoing negotiations for Anthony Joshua’s next fight according to Talk Sport.

If Joshua were not to fight in the UK on April 13th as previously planned and instead fight in May in the US this could potentially free up Sky Sports to do a pay per view for the Khan vs Crawford fight instead.

To do two pay per view fights back to back would be a none runner otherwise just a week apart.

As for Crawford vs Khan, an interesting fight for sure and one you have to give Khan a lot of credit for stepping up for taking.

Granted, he’s disappointed a lot of his home country fans by not fighting Kell Brook.

But in the grand scheme of things it’s an opportunity (granted for less money too) to fight a pound for pound star in Crawford.

Those opportunities don’t roll around very often.
