Manny Pacquiao has been a pay per view attraction for some time now and is used to getting huge pay days in the past for his sweet science exploits down through the years.
Tonight will not only be Adrien Broner’s biggest payday of his boxing career thus far, but it will also be his first time on pay per view when the first bell rings live on Showtime.
Both guys have very big stars not just in the sport of boxing but further afield with Broner last week surpassing one million Instagram followers.
Accordingly, the Pacquiao vs Broner purse in tonight’s boxing in Las Vegas is a handsome chunk of cash.
It was thought that Pacquiao made around $20 million all told for his fight against Timothy Bradley a few years back and tonight he is expected to earn somewhere in the same neighbourhood based on projected pay per view performance and other revenue streams.
Broner’s biggest pay day thus far however has been somewhere between $1 to $1.5 million for a fight but he’ll go up quite a lot from that tonight with an expected minimum of $10 million.
Not bad if you can get it.
