George Groves formally announced his retirement from the sport of boxing this week and largely has received a lot of well wishes and words of praise for his career from the boxing community.
It’s no secret that himself and former opponent and world champion Carl Froch didn’t exactly see eye to eye during the careers both before and after their two fights and most likely will never be on one another’s Christmas card lists.
Froch won both fights and his initial reaction on social media to Groves retiring was actually quite positive:
However not long after this in an interview here he he changed his tune a tad:
