Former undisputed heavyweight champion of the world Lennox Lewis has found himself back in the conversation in the modern landscape in the sport recently.
Largely for his very public criticism of fellow UK fighter and current heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua.
Both Joshua and his promoter Eddie Hearn have batted back to Lewis’ remarks in various interviews in recent times.
Speaking on the Anthony Joshua vs Jarrell Miller stage confrontation in New York this week where Miller could be seen pushing Joshua, Lewis made a good point:
Indeed, it’s hard to know what ‘Big Baby’ could be so wound up about.
On June 1st he’ll be making a career high pay day and getting a very unexpected shot at the heavyweight champion.
An opportunity that really came out of nowhere for him.
Not only that, but it will happen for him in his very own backyard of New York city too being a local Brooklyn native.
