WBC welterweight world champion Shawn Porter recorded a split decision points win on Saturday night after he was pushed hard by opponent Yordenis Ugas in the second defense of his belt.
Speaking to the media in a scrum after the fight Porter said on his performance:
“I think one way or another him knowing what I can do he came out and might have psyched himself out a bit.”
On what he wants next, Porter added:
“I don’t want a rematch to be honest because I am looking at Errol Spence, I am looking at Manny Pacquiao and I am looking at Keith Thurman (next).”
He added:
“You can’t fight every fight the same and that’s we did (tonight) — we made some adjustments tonight and we stuck with our adjustments.”
Certainly the above three names are fights that could be made with all four boxers signed with adviser Al Haymon and under the Premier Boxing Champions banner.
The win last night improved Porter’s record to 30-2-1 (17KO).
