Shannon Lets Go Champ Briggs Supporting Dillian Whyte’s New Boxing Idea

Heavyweight contender Dillian Whyte may find himself still looking for his next heavyweight opponent, news that should be announced very shortly, but he’s certainly keeping busy as evidenced by a new innovative boxing idea he’s come up with for the community.

‘The Body Snatcher’ recently started a new platform for his local community in London, UK called ‘Smoke Sundays’ which is essentially an opportunity for fighters from different backgrounds and levels to spar one another under the watchful eye of Whyte himself.

The sparring is monitored closely by qualified professionals to ensure safety to the participants and is aimed at making a positive impact in the community through the sport of boxing.

In the latest episode on his YouTube channel former heavyweight champion Shannon Briggs called in to show his support at the respected Miguels Boxing Gym in Brixton, London:

Some good stuff there and further evidence of the positive benefits boxing continues to have for society.

As for the two fighters’ careers, Briggs at the moment has not fought in some time and it is not known if or when he will fight again.

As things stand he has not retired from boxing yet.

Whyte recently turned down a rematch with heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua due to not being happy with the terms of the deal on offer.

News of his next opponent is expect imminently.

Whyte’s last fight in the ring came back in December with a knockout win over Dereck Chisora in their rematch at the 02 Arena in London.
