Heavyweight Contender Hughie Fury’s Return Confirmed

Former WBO heavyweight title challenger Hughie Fury (cousin of Tyson Fury) has now had his next bout officially pencilled in.

The slick heavyweight technician will return to action on May 25th at the Victoria House in Manchester against an opponent to be named.

Fury confirmed the announcement with this video on his Twitter account:

Fury last fought back in October when he fought Kubrat Pulev in Bulgaria and lost by unanimous decision.

He has had various health issues and injuries in his pro career to date but turned pro very early — so certainly has a huge amount of time on his side to develop and fill out into the heavyweight division in the coming years.

24-year-old Fury currently holds a professional boxing record of 20-2-11KO and only came up short in his world title challenge to date against former champion Joseph Parker by the narrowest of margins back in 2017.

He is trained by his father Peter Fury.
