Today sees Claressa Shields and Christina Hammer weigh-in ahead of their undisputed middleweight title unification bout this weekend at the iconic Boardwalk in Atlantic City.
In many ways this is the biggest women’s title fight in boxing ever for a number of reasons.
The fact Claressa Shields is a double Olympic champ, that both are a combined undefeated 32-0 professionally and that all four recognized world titles will be on the line, mainly.
Two fighters who are at the very top of their game and have clearly trained ferociously for this contest.
An intriguing clash of styles where no doubt Shields will need to cut the ring off and get inside of the excellent jab of Hammer if she is to win.
For Hammer, she’ll look to control the fight on the outside and use her movement and superior reach.
