Boxing World Reacts To Pacquiao Beating Thurman and Setting New Record

Coming into this weekend’s Manny Pacquiao vs Keith Thurman fight in Las Vegas people didn’t really know what to expect.

So many questions existed going into the fight.

Would Pacquiao finally get old over night? How much motivation did Keith Thurman have left in his career after the injuries and inactivity?

Would the older lion be forced to make way for the younger, undefeated lion in Thurman?

Both men answered all those questions emphatically in what turned out to be a cracker of a fight at the MGM Grand.

A bout that ultimately saw ‘Pacman’ run out a split decision winner.

A fight that also showed the dogid determination of ‘One Time’ who came on strong later in the contest it must be said.

He might be 40-years-old but Manny Pacquiao showed he still has more than enough determination, skill and life-force left in him to make him a relevant player in the welterweight division.

The win of the WBA welterweight crown saw Pacquiao become the oldest welterweight champion in professional boxing history.

No doubt (next up) Senator Pacquiao will have his eyes on the winner of the upcoming Errol Spence vs Shawn Porter fight later this year.

All in all, a great night of boxing and a fight that appears to have gone down well with many boxing fans.

Here’s some of the post-fight reaction going down online thus far:
