Recently the boxing world has been struck by tragedy following the untimely death of two of its fighting sons.
Russian boxer Maxim Dadashev lost his life earlier this week aged just 28-years-old.
He was a super-lightweight fighter with a pro record of 13-1 (11KO) who was also a standout amateur.
Last weekend following a stoppage defeat on a card televised via ESPN and promoted by American boxing promoters Top Rank, Dadashev suffered a bleed to the brain in the contest which required emergency attention afterwards in hospital.
He was placed into an induced coma to allow for the swelling on the brain to heal but sadly the young Russian fighter lost his life in hospital earlier this week.
He is survived by his wife and his son.
