Andy Ruiz Jr Reacts To Canelo Alvarez Knocking Out Sergey Kovalev

Heavyweight champion of the world Andy Ruiz Jr was in town in Las Vegas this weekend and caught the big Canelo Alvarez knockout of Sergey Kovalev.

Canelo stopped Kovalev with a crushing right hand that left the former light-heavyweight champion in no position to continue.

The fight sees Mexican boxing star Canelo (in the eyes of many) now become the best pound for pound fighter in the sport of boxing today.

Following the fight the folks at Fight Hub TV (hat tip) caught up with the heavyweight champion for his thoughts on tonight’s bout:

Ruiz Jr takes on Anthony Joshua next month in a rematch taking place in Saudi Arabia.

Last time out Ruiz shocked the world when he knocked out Joshua earlier this year in New York.

Ruiz has lost a lot of weight coming into the rematch and it will be interesting to see how he performs at the new, lighter weight.
