Fight week is upon us again in the heavyweight division with this Saturday night two of its premier pugilists doing battle for a second time.
Heavyweight champion Andy Ruiz Jr made history last time out by knocking out Britain’s Anthony Joshua last summer to become the first ever Mexican heavyweight champ.
Coming into the rematch both men have trained ferociously for the contest and could very well both come in at career best condition at Friday’s weigh-ins.
Everyone has an opinion on the fight and how it will go.
Not least some top professional boxers and legends of the ring themselves.
The folks at Fight Hype YouTube (hat tip) have put together an intriguing culmination of breakdowns and thoughts from some very well known heavyweight fighters:
Of course, WBC heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder will be keeping a closer eye on the fight more than anyone else with a shot against the winner in 2020 to unify the belts a very real possibility.
Wilder kept his end of the bargain up recently by knocking out Luis Ortiz in their rematch.
Wilder and Tyson Fury are now set to have a rematch in early 2020.
The winner of that (should) by all accounts take on the winner of Ruiz vs Joshua 2 in a super fight before 2020 is out.
A colossal battle for the undisputed heavyweight championship of the world.
