Teofimo Lopez sent out a big statement to the boxing world this weekend with a standout performance on the Terence Crawford undercard in New York.
Lopez, promoted by Bob Arum’s Top Rank, proved why the American promoters have showed so much faith in him by obliterating former world champion Richard Commey inside just two rounds to capture the IBF world title.

Lopez now moves on in his professional career to a record of 15-0-12 KO and could very well position himself for a unification fight soon.
Indeed, fellow promotional stablemate and stand out pound for pound supremo Vasyl lomachenko could be an easy fight to make in due course with both boxing on ESPN.
Whether or not Lopez is ready for such a challenge this early in his career however remains to be seen.
