Fight night is fast approaching as the world’s sports media continues to descend upon Sin City this week ahead of the WBC heavyweight title rematch between Deontay Wilder and Tyson Fury.
Interestingly, the lines have moved back and forth a bit this week with the start of the week having Fury as favorite and as the week progress — Wilder moving back into slight favorite.
Usually the sign of a lot of interest in a fight.
And rightly so.
So much is at stake and with that in mind, one will hope that if the fight does go to the scorecards that fans will have a clear winner.
One suspects neither boxer wants to leave it in the hands of the judges this time round however.
The officials have now been confirmed as the following:
Referee – Kenny Bayless
Judge – Glenn Feldman
Judge – Dave Moretti
Judge – Steve Weisfeld
Always good to see Moretti’s name on the team sheet for a big fight.
Usually very solid.
As for the referee — Kenny Bayless is experienced as they come in big fight situations.
Don’t expect this to go the distance though.
