Deontay Wilder Speaks For The First Time Since Tyson Fury Loss

Former undefeated WBC heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder is coming to terms at the moment with losing his title and undefeated record as a professional to Tyson Fury on Saturday night.

Over the weekend Fury beat him via 7th round stoppage in a bout that also included two knockdowns in favor of Fury.

Following the fight Wilder chose not to attend the post-fight press conference.

Now, it has emerged his first thoughts on what happened on Saturday night:

Whether or not a third fight happens remains to be seen but it does appear that Wilder will now look to activate his rematch clause.

If that happens, a third fight could be possible for the summer.

Ultimately, the sport of boxing was the real winner at the weekend in an event that went down well all over the world.

Heavyweight boxing shown in a positive light at the very highest level.

Kudos to all involved.
