From a pro sports standpoint, boxers like many professional athletes have been able to do things that they normally would not.
Outside of Bernard Hopkins in his early 50’s winning the world title, an enigma mind you, fighters like Manny Pacquiao and others in recent years in their 40’s have also lead the way for the older guard.
Mike Tyson and Roy Jones next month both fight on the wrong side of 50 and although it was billed as an exhibition, both men still are tenacious competitors and taking this thing deadly serious.
It’s hard to see how someone like Mike Tyson can take anything as an exhibition, too.
Fighting is in his blood. That’s who he is on the inside.
Once that first hard dig lands on him from Jones you’d have to think he’ll look for the knockout.
