Coming into this past weekend’s big fight in Las Vegas many felt that Teofimo Lopez didn’t have the level of technical skill to compete with the more seasoned Vasyl Lomachenko.
That didn’t turn out to be the case however.
Despite only being 23-years-old Lopez showed he could more than hang technically with the pound for pound rated in the sport.
The proof was in the pudding of course in the victory.

The future is very, very bright indeed for American boxing overall.
This past weekend showed the type of matches boxing needs to get momentum back before 2020 is finished.
Putting the best in with the best and not always on pay per view will grow the sport and get it back on its feet again.
