An electric division in the sport at the moment.
135 lbs. being perhaps one of the most exciting weight classes in all of boxing currently.
The likes of Ryan Garcia and Devin Haney other tremendous young fighters there too.
All seemingly wanting to fight one another.
That’s how fighters are.
It’s the politics and the business that stops the fights from happening.
Not the boxers.
One fight being touted at the moment involves Lopez and Devin Haney.
Lopez has pulled no punches on social media at the latter and his promoter:
Great fight in due course.
It could be a while however before any of these fights happen.
Gate revenue is a big loss to these fights until the current world situation subsides.
Haney is also linked with a mandatory against Ryan Garcia next up.
If it happens that is.
Lopez also has a mandatory to look after too.
Gervonta Davis’ first fight of 2021 has yet to be confirmed.
All in all, a promising year ahead for the division.
