There has been a lot of talk in the boxing world in the last week.
Largely pertaining to a possible Manny Pacquiao vs Ryan Garcia fight.
One that came out of nowhere.
First it was tabbed as a legitimate fight after Garcia confirmed that the bout was on.
Subject to terms being agreed.
They never got agreed in the end.
As in anything in boxing until the contract is signed nothing is on.
Always the way.
Then it turned to a potential exhibition.
Then back to a real fight.
Then both Pacquiao and Garcia’s promotional team apparently blocked one another on social media.
Some disagreement appeared to have happened.
Garcia deactivated his Twitter account also during the whirlwind week.
The fight is now off.
There is nothing concrete and it will not be happening next up.
Pacquiao now goes back to the drawing board.
No Conor McGregor fight either.
So his options need to be reassessed again.
Talks of a Mayweather vs Pacquiao exhibition bout could crop up again in the near future.
As for young undefeated Garcia bouts with the likes of Teofimo Lopez and Devin Haney are on his radar.
All in a week of boxing politics.
