The sport of boxing has lost one of its heavyweight legends in the form of Leon Spinks.
Some very sad news that has taken the sweet science back.
Putting things in perspective of the shortness of life.
Alas, no doubt Spinks is up in heaven for eternity now however.
Leon Spinks will be a well known name to boxing fans of years gone by.
One of the few men to ever beat Muhammad Ali no less.
A split decision win by all accounts considered a massive shock at the time in 1978.
Spinks captured the world title after a fine amateur career in the sport.
One of the other few men to also take down Muhammad Ali in boxing history, Larry Holmes, also shared the ring with Spinks.
Holmes paid tribute to Spinks who passed aged 67 after a battle with cancer:
