Trainer, podcast merchant, personality and TV commentator Teddy Atlas has been in full flow again recently.
This weekend’s Oscar Valdez victory over Miguel Berchelt in Las Vegas appears to have raised an eyebrow for the man from Staten Island and peaked his interest.
His reaction to the fight on his official social media platforms has gained a lot of supportive sentiment from fight fans:
“No need for body there. Bang. Allow a hurt fighter who’s trying to catch up, to walk into a shot. Beautifully done by Valdez. Just hope Berchelt is ok.”
A great fight and weekend for boxing all in all.
Also, hat tip to some action to travelled a bit under the radar on the card in the heavyweight division.
Sweden’s Otto Wallin recorded a unanimous points decision over former world title challenger Dominic Breazeale.
The win could place Wallin in contention for some significant bouts later in the year as things unfold.
Good win on the same card for former world champion Robert Easter Jr too.
He took a UD win against Ryan Martin.
Giving him two wins on the bounce now since drawing with Cuban Rances Barthelemy and losing before that to Mikey Garcia.
Expect Easter to be back in the mix soon for bigger fights at super-lightweight.
Things up and running again nicely in boxing.
Even in these times.
Great to see.
