Newly crowned Mexican boxing world champion Oscar Valdez is rightly enjoying a significant moment in his career right about now.
Last weekend in one of the knockouts of the year he stopped fellow Mexican fighter Miguel Berchelt.
Valdez was well known to those in boxing already but after such a win on a large platform like ESPN he will now be much more known.
When he received his WBC world title belt to a hero’s welcome in his homeland of Mexico here is what happened:
