Former WBO world champion Joseph Parker returned to action a short time ago earlier today in his native New Zealand.
The 29-year-old won a unanimous points decision in Auckland but it was a poor fight in truth.
His opponent Junior Fa initiated a lot of holding in a scrappy, sluggish bout that really didn’t impress people.
People are snapping by the looks of things. Damn. Those scorecards, what was going on with some of them you clowns as regards some of the judges of the fight being overly generous to put it mildly.
You can tell some of these lock downs and the world situation is not doing well for some boxers’ careers. Ring rust is real to be fair.
That said, some fighters have shown they can fight back however in these times, harder than ever and even improve.
This was garbage though today no good.

Positive though to see the crowds again at least.
Fair play to the ole New Zealander’s God love um.
Put on a better card next time though dummies for fans there. What was this. Fans are snapping.
Hopefully Parker will be back home in Las Vegas like ourselves soon training and maybe can get better fights there in the fight capital of the world.
Terrible standard this today though.
Respectfully though to everyone hammering the fight, inactivity is a real thing and credit to both boxers for getting in there in the first place.
More lockdown victims in the sport.
Screw that though, moving forward, let’s pick it up again.
Boxing needs to fight back and put on better matches where possible as the sport has grown in the world situation.
Perhaps the only one to do so.
Thus, people expect more of boxing consequently.
Come on. Let’s get this show back on the ole road. This will be enjoyable tonight with Canelo fighting later.
No doubt Parker will look to improve on this next up as he gets activity back more and more.
He will too. Only 29 which is a very young man in heavyweight terms too. Don’t forget that.
This is just his first fight back in over a year, he’ll be much sharper next time.
Great fighter and personality for the sport too. A gentleman by all counts.
Great trainer too with Kevin Barry and quirky, good promoter too that Higgins fella seems a good character.
Carry on.
Roll on tonight’s boxing.
