Andy Ruiz Jr. makes his first fight of 2021 against fellow Mexican-American Chris Arreola.
The card is tentatively set for April 24th. Location to be confirmed in due course.
Former heavyweight champion Ruiz Jr will be expected to win the fight going in to what promises to be a real barn burner while it lasts.
That said, a number of questions physically and mentally will be asked of him in preparation.
Not to mention on the night itself. Arreola’s fight style will make for an explosive very fun fight to watch.
Both guys fight with their hearts on their sleeves.
The big thing for Ruiz will be his conditioning and discipline leading into the contest.
He knows he needs to impress to secure a title shot again.
This video shows the happy go lucky boxer is taking things deadly serious once and for all in his career however and appears to finally have a sense of balance and discipline in his life now:

Plenty of time between now and April 24th for Ruiz to show his ability to really knuckle down but not over do it and peak on fight night.
Arreola as mentioned will bring the heat and will be looking at this as his last shot at the big time in boxing surely.
There will be a lot of Mexican fighting heart on the line so expect this to be a very fun fight to watch indeed.
