It has been a somber tone the last couple of days in the world of boxing and all of sport.

The passing of Marvin Hagler came as a sincere shock to many.

Death is inevitable of course. When you must go you must go.

At 66-years of age God came for one of his greatest warriors in Marvin Hagler, no doubt enjoying heaven and eternal life right about now.

During a challenging time for most around the world some of the sport of boxing’s legends paid tribute to him following his passing:

I’m simply stunned to hear the news of Marvelous Marvin Hagler. Not only was he a living legend, but I was proud to call him my friend. He was so full of life, energy and positivity in our conversations that you would never guess what a wrecking machine he was in the ring.

I just heard the heartbreaking news of the passing of another legend, Marvelous Marvin Hagler. E. Steward would use Marvin's fights as a motivator for me before my fights, and let me tell you it worked. He was a warrior in the ring, and a kind soul outside of it.
